Sandra has been a journalist since 1987, and an organiser and promoter of cultural events since 1994. She completed a specialist course in web journalism in 2010. Since 2015, she has also produced films. She is the founder and artistic director of the music documentary film festival Dok’n’Ritam, which has been organised since 2016. She is also the founder and president of the Dok’n’Ritam Association.
After working in print media and radio stations (PopRock, Aplauz, Danas, Studio B…), she continued in the 90s with a series of authorial programs on the Music TV Serbia (MTS). She co-authored the documentary TV series and film “EKV – Kao da je bilo nekad” and the documentary TV series “Rockovnik,” broadcast on RTS.
She moderated discussions with film crews at the Belgrade FEST. She was a press representative for the campaign around Bijelo Dugme concerts, as well as the compère of their first performance after a 16-year break. She created and launched the FM (Film and Music) portal. Occasionally, she writes for CITY magazine.
Sandra is the selector of the Mediterranean Film Festival Split, selecting music documentary films. At the “Dani filma u Mostaru” festival, she has been a coordinator for nine years. She worked in PR for the FABULA music festival in 2013.
She worked on the promotion, distribution, as a producer and co-producer on films: “Making of” the film “Država”, “Unutra”, “Izgubljeno Dugme”, “Limunovo drvo”, “Rock 90”, “TUSTA”.
She organized the promotion of music books: “Mesto u mećavi – priča o Milanu Mladenoviću” by Aleksandar Žikić and “Bijelo Dugme – Šta bi dao da si na mom mjestu” by Dušan Vesić.
She founded the first music documentary film festival in Serbia, DOK’N’RITAM in 2016. As the artistic director of the festival, she created and organised an event that was extremely well received, both in professional circles and by the audience. During the Covid pandemic, she implemented the Dok’n’Ritam festival live, making it one of the few festivals to be realised in such difficult circumstances, thus increasing its visibility.
