Born in Belgrade, Dragutin Mladenović completed his secondary music education at the “Mokranjac” Music School, and from 1992 to 1998, he studied at the “Central High School of Music under the patronage of the State Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Moscow.”
In 1998, he enrolled at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Antwerp (Belgium), where he obtained his master’s degree in 2006. Additionally, in 2007, Dragutin Mladenović completed his master’s degree in Contemporary Music at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Ghent (Belgium), under the guidance of Professor Mihail Bezverghny. He also completed Specialist Studies in Chamber Music at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 2010, under the mentorship of Professor Uroš Pešić.
As a soloist or member of chamber ensembles, he has performed in Serbia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Japan, South America, and more. He has recorded several compact discs of chamber music.
Since 2007, he has been employed as a violin professor at the School for Musical Talents in Ćuprija. In his 17 years of work at this prestigious institution, he and his students have won over 130 awards at Republic competitions, festivals, as well as prizes at renowned international festivals.
Since 2010, he has served as the president of MUZIKUS, the Association for the Promotion and Encouragement of Musical Culture in Serbia, and the Artistic Director of the ARLEMM Art Festival.
