Elektropionir opened its doors in 2016 as a natural continuation and evolution of the musical space previously known as Gun Club (2010–2016). It is more than just a club, it is an open cultural platform that actively builds and nurtures the alternative and independent scene in Belgrade and the wider region.

Over the years, Elektropionir has hosted dozens of release events, hundreds of concerts, parties, exhibitions and other happenings, becoming a key hub for connecting the local and regional music scenes, with a strong focus on promoting European values, collaboration, and cultural exchange.

Located in heart of Belgrade’s art community called Cetinjska, the club is recognized as an essential part of the emerging youth scene as a place where young artists, bands, DJs, and collectives are given the opportunity to showcase their work and grow their audience. Its program has featured some of the most important acts from the region, as well as a wide array of international performers

Elektropionir also serves as the home and headquarters of the KONTAKT music conference and showcase festival, as one of the most important events for music professionals in the region and further, where the club’s role is to mediate and initiate cultural and music-related developments.

The club runs by Odličan Hrčak, one of the region’s most influential independent record labels and concert agency. Over the past two decades, this collective has:

• Organized over 2,000 concerts, featuring both local and international artists

• Managed and represented key names of the regional music scene

• Created and executed the largest concert tour in Serbia (Top 10 / 25 cities over two years)

• Consistently worked on developing the alternative club scene in Belgrade and Serbia

In 2021 Elektropionir also became home to Anti Shop, which has grown into the largest vinyl store in Serbia, further expanding the club’s cultural influence and contribution to the independent scene.
