Marija Maglov, musicologist, Research Assistant at the Institute of Musicology, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Received her PhD at the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, Belgrade. Her main research interests are interdisciplinary musicological studies of music and media, radio art, discography, music practices of 20th and 21st centuries, as well as music industry with emphasis on festivals with conferences. Marija Maglov received DAAD research grant for research project carried out at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hanover, Germany. She did comparative research on festivals and music scenes of Hanover, Berlin, Mannheim, Hamburg and Belgrade. Results were presented at Kontakt conference and Indirekt Showcase festival, where she also moderated the talk with Detlef Schwarte, co-founder of Reeperbahn festival. She is the author of the monograph The Best of: umetnička muzika u PGP-u (Beograd: FMK, 2016), as well as numerous studies published in national and international scientific journals. She is collaborator with the Center for Popular Music Research (Belgrade) and writes for the popular science journal Elementi, published by Center for the Promotion of Science. At the Institute of Musicology SASA works on the project Applied Musicology and Ethnomusicology in Serbia: Making a Difference in Contemporary Society, supported by Science Fund of Republic of Serbia.
